Superior Booking SXSW Industry Showcase with Craig Owens

March 31, 2018

Superior Booking announced the lineup for their annual SXSW Industry Showcase. It's being hosted by Chiodos frontman Craig Owens.

How did badXChannels come about?
You know man, I’m not really sure. I’ve always liked this style of singing. It was kinda what made me  fall in love with music originally. The open space created with the movement of electronic music in pop, indie and hip-hop acts continuing to push the bar creatively -- I just wanted to be a part of it.

You're planning an upcoming tour, correct?
We're hitting Indianapolis, Detroit, Chicago, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Brooklyn, Boston and Philly—a total of nine dates. On this run, I’ll be playing the entire EP that comes out soon.

This project is way different from the heavier stuff you usually do?
I think there have been subtle clues of badXchannels shining in a lot of my previous work, but it's pretty new. The crowd has been digging it. I'm getting a ton of support

What kind of music are you listening to now?
There are some real cool bands on this upcoming Superior Booking showcase that I'm looking forward to hearing.
